Thorwood Pony Stud was established approximately 6 years ago by Amanda Hewitt.
They are located at Yellingbo, in the Yarra Valley, just 1 hour from Melbourne Centre.
Thorwood Stud aims to breed ponies with the following attributes in mind:- Temperament, Show Quality, Correct Confirmation and Colour (Buckskin and Palomino). These ponies area eligible for registration in Riding Pony Stud Book, Arabian Derivatives, Welsh, APSB and Buckskin / Palomino colouring.
Visitors are always most welcome by appointment, the kettle is always ready for you!
Thorwood Stud stands three very successful stallions which include Radway Right Royal (Imp UK) pictured above left & Stanton Park Hells Bells pictured above right. Also standing is Silkwood Puss N Boots - Champion Riding Pony at Melbourne Summer Royal Show.
